A Despicable Birthday

Minions Assemble! Freeze Ray! Curse You Tiny Toilet!

Ah, I could keep going and going. Despicable Me is a favorite movie in our home, so when it came time for our home to celebrate a Birthday, Despicable Me seemed like the perfect theme! First up in the celebrations, Cupcakes for Alex's Preschool Class. I sure hope they love this cute army of minions.

Hunger Games

Once again I find myself faced with the task of making cupcakes themed around something I have no clue about, The Hunger Games. My knowledge is limited to the fact there are books, and now a movie. And the research I've done has only made me ask, what the heck is a Mockingjay!? But I guess the important part is not that I understand the subject, but that the birthday girl loves her cupcakes!

This Nest is for the Birds!

I love Robins Eggs. Next to Cadbury Eggs, they are probably my favorite Easter candy. When trying to decide what to make for Alex's preschool Easter party, I thought what can I do with eggs??? How about a nest? My mom always made chow mein noodle candy for Christmas, why not flatten them a bit and put some eggs in? Love it!!! Not to mention one of the easiest cupcakes I have ever made! Bonus!

Happy Birthday Hailey!

Today we celebrated my nieces 11th birthday with a fantastic pool party.  I was happy to volunteer cupcakes for the party.  My niece has out grown the theme parties, so I opted for some fun colorful cupcakes and threw in some cheerleading and softball stuff, 2 activities my niece loves.  They came out great, and it was cool getting my pictures at the actual event.

A New Business

A good friend of mine has started a new business as a Mary Kay Consultant, and she decided to have an open house to kick off her new business venture. When she asked if I could make her a few cupcakes the first thing that came to mind was the signature Pink Mary Kay color. I love how cute the little make up items turned out on the pink beauties.

Colorful Princess

When I was asked to make princess cupcakes I was thrilled, I never get to do girly stuff. Mom asked for some ideas for the birthday girl, so I sent home several ideas. I was quite surprised when she picked the fairly simple ones, and gave me her color requests and her selection of tiaras for the tops. As I was frosting the little cuties last night I found myself getting so excited over how great the colors are. I sure hope she likes them as much as I do!

Princess Pops

Since we didn't have the best of luck transporting the Tangled Tower Cones we decided to come up with a treat that was a little easier to transport to school. Enter Pretty Princess Pops. These colorful little ladies are just too pretty to eat ;)
